Financial Advice

I've taught each of my children that the best thing to do is put back several thousands of dollars when you're young, forget about it and you'll have it when you need it.

Financial security is a mind set.  Think of it like a farm. First you need to know your boundaries. Next you need to know what will grow within those boundaries.

Don't spend more than you make - boundaries. We've not had a car payment for decades. Why? Because we make a car payment to our savings account. So when the time comes for us to buy a vehicle, we have cash. Car dealerships knock off a lot of the price when they hear cash.

Invest in things that will grow. It's about spending with the future in mind. Want to help your children? Put money away for their retirement.
