Several years ago, I went to Africa to teach teachers of children. The Nigerians were child-like people. My daughter came with me and brought a lot of candy with her. She made many friends.
We went downtown Abuja to shop and had a good time. That is until this one little Nigerian boy started screaming bloody murder. It was a terrified, blood-curdling scream. The 3-year-old with terror in his eyes hid behind his mother. I asked my guide what the little boy was so afraid of and he said, "you." He went on to explain that some Nigerian parents teach their children about the "White Devil." I was heartbroken.
